Mouse CD59a and human CD59 expression analysis in platelets and red blood cells . Platelets and red blood cells were isolated from the blood of wild type C57BL/6 mice, homozygous B-hCD59 mice and human blood cells. CD59 expressed on platelets and red blood were analyzed by flow cytometry with anti-CD59 antibody. Mouse CD59a was detectable on platelets and red blood cells of wild type C57BL/6 mice, but not on the cells of B-hCD59 mice and human blood cells. Human CD59 was detectable on platelets and red blood cells of B-hCD59 mice and human blood cells, but not on the cells of wild type C57BL/6 mice.
